Once a war machine, Sōden now tends the temple he once guarded—roots overtaking ruins, his purpose reshaped.
With moss brews, salvaged tools, and monk-taught wisdom, he aids players with dry code-laced humor and quiet care. What begins as utility becomes quiet kinship—a trace of what still matters when nothing else remains.
Inspired by Mongolian and Tibetan influences, Sōden is a junior monk spirit trapped in a robotic machine. Whilst his fellow monks have all died and their spirits moved on to be reborn in their next lives, he continues to pray, tend the garden, clean the floors of the crumbling monastery.
This project is intended as an animated short film on the themes of persistence and quiet ritual - living a good life in the mundane and ordinary.

WIP Props Exploration
Early design explorations of Monk items.
Finessed exploration. The dagger was removed for being too ornate for monk life, and the gourd replaced with a more authentic historical shape.
