My artistic pursuits began at age 7, when I proudly signed my felt tip pen designed birthday cards for my grandma with “Illustrated by Katy Wrench” on the back.
Since then, I’ve never really stopped making things — from secondary school art and photography classes, frankly terrible anime fan art, 1000 origami paper cranes, dance costumes, to leading rebrands and collaborating with artists and developers in later marketing roles.
I took a scenic route through creativity with a brief flirtation with interior design, a late-blooming love of gaming, and a growing connection to the LGBTQIA+ gaming community combined with boldly telling poor design agencies how to do their jobs (I’m so sorry).
These days, you’ll find me designing for advocacy branding projects, sketching monster fish for indie games, and diving into game jams where I get to blend storytelling, UI, and creative teamwork with frantic deadlines.
My work combines marketing and anthropological insight with emotionally resonant design — whether I’m building a brand or a website, illustrating kooky characters, or crafting assets for several horror fishing game (a random niche that keeps coming up). I love learning a range of crafts and I would never want to work too narrowly.
I’m fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Clip Studio Paint, Maya 3D, Substance Painter and more, and I love learning new tools to bring ideas to life.
I’m currently looking for junior-mid creative roles across publishing, games, tech-for-good, and non-profit sectors — looking to join collaborative, values-led teams where I can contribute, grow, and make good things happen.
Let’s build something cool as heck together.
