Found

Found is a children's book I wrote and illustrated — still unpublished, but very much alive in development.

It tells the story of a boy swept away by the sea to a mysterious island. There, he meets a bird who seems to know the way. Trusting it completely, he follows — straight into danger: a pool teeming with nipping crabs, a fruit tree guarded by a snake, a hut hiding a wild dog. Yet the boy stays calm, resourceful, and open-hearted. He turns each peril into a gift — fresh water, food, shelter — believing the bird is guiding him to safety.

Eventually, a fishing boat spots the island and brings him home. Reunited with his parents, he simply says, “What a grand adventure.”

At its heart, Found is about trust, resilience, and perspective — how we learn to listen, how appearances can deceive, and how even the most unexpected detours can lead to growth.
